Coming in late April, there is a wonderful basketball tournament that we have done for 7 years now back in the great state of Kansas. If you are aware of what it is, be sure to stay posted, as we might have some major changes this year. If you don’t know what it is, be sure to check out the link on my page that takes you to the drivewayleague. It is really nothing but fun, and it’s a great way to end April and head into May. Generally the weather cooperates, as we’ve only had one year indoors. I will miss this season, but I have missed the tournament two other times. One was due to the KU Relays held in Lawrence, Kansas and the other year was also related to another track meet held that day. Usually, I get the business from everyone for being gone, but I always show up at the beginning to get things set up, and I’m always there by the time the championship is being played out. I thought this year might be my free pass to not organize the tourney, but here I am again. It’s fun though, working out the kinks, where to play, all the silly rules, making the teams. I like it especially this year because it keeps me in contact with a lot of people, making sure they are able to play and all that jazz.
