When I got back from Miami, I had to go to the sprint store, since my trendy text messaging was fouling up. Instead of a quick trip to the store and heading back home, I was there almost two hours, and they ended up giving me a new phone. That took away my chance to go to a family lunch, and also meet up with another friend. From there, I headed back home, and met my brother Damon and his wife and daughter for dinner. They treated me to dinner, and I enjoyed time coloring with my niece, and hanging out with family. Applebee’s has onion rings now. After dinner, I headed out the watch SJA play in a basketball game, and meet up with some friends. The boys played hard, and it was fun to watch them play as a fan, to cheer them on, and to have a different perspective other than a coach. I remembered during that game how fun high school basketball is.
Note to self and others: don’t wait until the few hours before you leave to do 2 loads of laundry. And if you do try that, don’t do it while also watching the KU basketball game, because the game will win over the laundry most times. I had to pack about 6 items of wet clothing into my suitecase, since I ran out of time to dry them. Lesson learned for next time. What a bunk turn of events, as I’m leaving town, it’s 60 degrees out. Two weeks earlier, there was 4 inches of snow when I got into town.
I really enjoyed my time back home. I’m not sure of the next time that I will be back. Perhaps in April. If not then, probably late July or Aug. That sure is a long stretch. So be sure to keep in touch with me. I still have my area code on my phone from Kansas, and probably won’t change anytime soon. It helps me to still feel a piece of Kansas, although my new KU shirts will also help. I think now I have a ku shirt-sweatshirt for each day of the week at school. Keep checkin’ in on the webpage. Much love to my family and friends, and to BWHS and SJA.

I didn’t know you were at our game until Bic said you were smiling and waving at him while shooting free throws. Thats busting chops/distracting. When you taught was i ever a distraction??????? I didnt think so.
Happy New Year…….

Hey, IHOP sounds good right about now, there aren’t many of them in Oregon. And no, I did not wave to anyone shooting freethrows. That is about the most absurd post of the new year.

was this lesson really learned? because it seems to me that this just might be classic nick at work here… and thanks to my clever cyber-stalking, i’m able to hear these stories again. woot.

How dare you come and go without a trip to Dos Reales with your two best friends! Glad to see you’re alive, since I thought death must be the only explanation for not hearing of or from you since that fateful day when you packed up your briefcase and walked out the door.

Everything is going great, thank you. I hope you are doing well, too- sounds like you are, which is good to hear. Don’t be a stranger to good ol’ KC.
