I am rather enjoying Portland. I have had a great experience so far. I love being in the city. It’s really different being able to walk to most places when I need to. Even though I’m getting a car soon, I don’t see myself using it for a whole lot of reasons other than work, and an occassional trip to the coast/Cali, etc. I know that the Jayhawks are playing Sat. Hope that goes well. I am hoping to get to an Oregon game in Eugene.
I’m getting used to the pace here. I think that once I get settled with work, car, living arrangements, I’ll really be able to relax and enjoy even more than I’m doing now. The Trailblazers will be starting soon, so I guess that I’ll be more of an NBA fan. The weather has been great, but today most people melted because it was over 90. The rest of the week will be in the 70/80 range, but next week it is supposed to rain for about 3 days. Welcome to Portland I suppose.
The scenary is great here, and I imagine once I travel a bit around the state, it will be even better. It’s fun to see trees, mountains, rivers each day. Ok, there it is. (pic is of the willamette river)

Alphonse, that was probably the best post so far. I’m still laughing, picturing myself trying to flip the slime balls that he called “hamburgers”. Hope the bbq went well. Maybe when I’m back in Dec. you can fire up the grill!
